FolderMaestro File Collaboration is an enterprise-level, real-time, multi-directional, distributed file locking and synchronization technology that ensures the same data exists on all participating servers regardless of where changes occur, and prevents users from accessing files that are currently in-use by another user in the session.
FolderMaestro ensures that end-users with laptops, can “check-out” shared files from the file server, for remote editing.
When used in conjunction with FolderMaestro Server, as a file is “checked-out”, FolderMaestro Server locks down the corresponding file across all servers until the laptop user “checks-in” their file edits and those edits are synchronized across all systems in the collaboration group.
