Hub Alert View

Top  Previous  Next

The Alert View is automatically displayed when a critical system (Error or Fatal) alert is received.  By default, the Alert View is displayed under the main Hub Applet tabs and editor area.  You can close the view at anytime by clicking on the X (close) button on the Alert tab.  You can open the Alerts view at any time by clicking on the View Alerts button located on the toolbar or by selecting the Window-->Show View-->View Alerts menu item.

Alert severity can be of type informational, warning, error or fatal.  An example of an informational alert is when an Agent connects to the Broker.  If and Agent's network connection is severed then an ERROR alert will be logged.  All alerts are also logged to the Hub installation directory in the "logs" sub-folder in a file name called hub_alert_log.txt

You can filter alerts based on host or severity by specifying values in alert filter section of the view, or you can sort alerts by any column type by clicking on the column header.  You can also clear all alerts in the table by clicking the Clear Alerts link
